Kate and Sara, two environmentally-conscious mothers, launched Cactus Revival, a slow fashion brand for kids that up-cycles and repairs clothing to reduce textile waste. They launched the brand in July 2022 with the goal of embracing imperfection and reducing landfill waste.

They set up the Shopify store by themselves but soon realised that they were not happy with the website and not satisfied enough to be launched to the public. But they had already booked a stall for a local market and were running out of time.

HHP Design was commissioned with re-designing of their e-commerce website to make it more user friendly and professional within the set timeframe.

This case study outlines HHP Design’s process.

Strategy & Process

The main goals of the website were:

  • Refine the existing design based on their logo and colour scheme
  • Specify and research the target demographic
  • Design the website based on the target demographic’s preferences
  • Update the site structure so that products are grouped together for easier navigation based on age and gender

Results

The new website that was designed by HHP Design was completed before the set deadline. The team worked diligently to ensure that all the requirements set by Cactus Revival were met within the stipulated time frame. The final design was thoroughly reviewed and tested to ensure that it was functional, visually appealing, and easy to navigate.

The new design was also more in line with the brand’s identity and target audience. HHP Design took the time to research and understand the target demographic, which helped them create a website that resonated with them. The new design used the brand’s colours and logo in a more effective way, creating a cohesive and consistent look and feel across the site. The updated site structure allowed for products to be grouped together by age and gender, making it easier for customers to find what they were looking for. Overall, the new website design met the goals set out by Cactus Revival, and it was well received by the brand’s target audience.
